Kyushu University Open Innovation Platform and CellTech Accelerator Announce Memorandum of Understanding to Foster Cross-Border Innovation

 

Taipei, Taiwan – March 27th, 2025 – Kyushu University Open Innovation Platform (OIP) and CellTech Accelerator today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), establishing a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating the development and commercialization of biotech innovations between Japan and Taiwan.

This collaboration signifies a mutual commitment to facilitating the exchange of knowledge, resources, and expertise to support the growth of startups and foster cross-border collaborations.

Kyushu University OIP, a key initiative of Kyushu University, is dedicated to promoting open innovation by bridging the gap between academic research and industry. The platform provides a comprehensive framework for fostering partnerships and driving technological advancements.

CellTech Accelerator, a leading organization specializing in the acceleration of biotech startups, offers a robust ecosystem of support, including mentorship, funding opportunities, and market access.

 

The MOU outlines the following key objectives:

  • Joint Program Development: To create collaborative programs designed to support the development and growth of startups in the biotech sector.
  • Cross-Border Collaboration Facilitation: To establish mechanisms for facilitating collaborations between startups and research institutions in Japan and Taiwan.
